Hello everyone my name is Harrison Haines. I’m 25, I went to Placer High, played football, then attended Chana High for a short period. My senior year, in 2011, I hit a really rough patch in my life due to depression and self-doubt, which led to unfortunate circumstances that prevented me from a productive, successful career.
For the next six years, I had time to turn things around, so I began a journey of self-improvement. I pursued education by taking correspondence classes at Lake Tahoe Community College, then continued my studies at Sacramento State University. On Jan. 4 of this year, I attended my first class ever with the Placer School for Adults - Career Center.
On Jan. 16, I was hired at Roseville Precision, for full-time employment with benefits, after not having a job for over six years. The staff at Placer School for Adults are very selfless. I would like to give a special thanks to all the great staff at the Career Center. They were all so helpful and supportive as I built my resume and helped me see how I could apply my skills and be desirable for hire, and they had a positive impact on my life. I am still employed and have just recently received a significant raise. I would not have been prepared for my first interview if not for all the skills I learned from the classes I took at Placer School for Adults.
