Adult school students are often intimidated by going to college. They are not sure what to expect and may not have other skills that will be required such as computer skills.
A 5 week ESL Bridge class was created to help students successfully transition to Ohlone College. They were able to take the course on an adult school campus. They were supported by their adult school teachers.
25 students enrolled in the Bridge class.
Students were inspired. 100% of the students said they expected to take classes at Ohlone with 85% stating that they would take these courses within the next two semesters.
Students from the Bridge class are attending Ohlone College.
